The Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, Admiral Paul F. Zukunft and the Under Secretary of Oceans and Atmosphere and NOAA Administrator, Dr. Kathryn D. Sullivan request your presence at the posthumous awarding of the Purple Heart to NOAA Weathermen lost in the tragic sinking of the USCGC MUSKEGET during the Battle of the Atlantic.
The ceremony will take place at The United States Naval Memorial, Naval Heritage Center on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 1100.
